Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

A man with dark hair and a beard, wearing a dark blue blazer with a pocket square and a light-colored t-shirt, standing outdoors in front of a brick building with blurred background.

My name is Stephen and I provide a steady and calm space for growth, recovery, and honest self reflection.

I am a psychotherapist based in Ireland with a background that blends clinical training, lived experience, and years of working within mental health advocacy. My path into this work was shaped by recovery, community, and the belief that change begins with being met, not managed. As a therapist I value presence, curiosity, and the courage it takes to speak honestly about life as it is, not as we wish it to be.

Clients describe my style as warm, grounded, and direct. I draw from integrative, humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches, supported by ongoing training and a professional commitment to ethical, evidence informed practice. My work is shaped by deep respect for each clients story and by the belief that healing is rarely a straight line and that’s ok.

I also bring experience from mental health advocacy, crisis volunteering, and research into mental health difficulties in Ireland. These perspectives inform a practice that is compassionate, culturally aware, and rooted in real life understanding.

Contact Me

Reaching out for support is not easy.

It takes courage to say enough is enough, to face the things that have been difficult to talk about, and to step into a space where you can be truly seen.

Together, we work at your pace, honouring your strength, resilience, and the unique journey that brought you here.

What I can offer you

Integrative Psychotherapy

I have a flexible approach that combines humanistic insight, relational depth, and evidence informed techniques. This supports clients who want a collaborative, reflective space tailored to their specific needs.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or CBT, is a practical talking therapy that looks at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. CBT is focused on the here and now, giving you tools you can actually use in daily life.

Humanistic, Existential and Person Centred Therapy

A warm, client led approach that prioritises authenticity, empathy, and the capacity for self healing.

Recovery Oriented Therapy

Support for people navigating addiction, early recovery, long term sobriety, or the identity and relationship changes that come with it. My work is centred on the clients own goals, values, and preferred approach.

Grief and Loss Support

Therapy that honours the full weight of loss and helps clients move through complex emotions with steadiness and compassion. The work creates space for meaning, memory, and ongoing connection, while supporting clients to live alongside loss rather than be overwhelmed by it.

Trauma Informed Care

My work is trauma-informed, meaning therapy proceeds at your pace, prioritises safety and consent, and recognises how past experiences shape present coping, relationships, and identity.

LGBTQIA+ Affirmative Therapy

A space that recognises identity, sexuality, and community experience as core parts of psychological wellbeing. I bring both professional training and lived cultural awareness to this work.

Male Affirmative Therapy

I look beyond the narrow view of masculinity to offer a space where vulnerability is treated as strength, complexity is welcomed, and change is rooted in self-respect rather than shame.
